Surface Mount Devices
As well as SMD LEDs, CTL offers a full range of surface mounted devices specially designed for “edge of board” mounting. These include switches – rocker, push-button or rotary – cermet-type potentiometers, fuse holders and single or multiple test jacks. All can be inserted using the same soldering technique that is employed for the rest of the PCB, instead of needing the usual separate operation.
The components can be dispensed from tubes for fully automatic insertion
into the PCB. All the solder pads are arranged in standard system pitch,
with connections projecting from either the side or the rear.
